At RedFilings, we are committed to providing high-quality compliance and filing services. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be processed. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing our services.

1. General Refund Policy

Due to the professional and time-sensitive nature of our compliance services, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Once our team has commenced work on your order, the service fee becomes non-refundable as our resources, time, and expertise have been committed to your project.

2. Service Fees vs. Government Fees

Service Fees

Service fees are charges for our professional services, consultation, document preparation, filing, and support. These fees are subject to our refund policy based on the stage of service completion.

Government Fees

Government fees, statutory fees, and charges paid to regulatory authorities are non-refundableunder all circumstances. These fees are remitted directly to government bodies and cannot be recovered.

Important: Government fees are separate from our service fees and are clearly indicated in your invoice.

3. Refund Eligibility

Full Refund (100%)

You may be eligible for a full refund of service fees if:

  • You cancel your order within 24 hours of payment AND before we commence work
  • We are unable to provide the service due to technical or operational issues on our end
  • You were charged incorrectly or duplicate charges were made
  • We fail to deliver the service as described without valid reason

Partial Refund (25-75%)

A partial refund may be considered if:

  • Work has commenced but is in early stages (consultation/document gathering phase)
  • You cancel due to personal reasons after initial consultation but before filing
  • Refund amount depends on the work completed and resources utilized

No Refund (0%)

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • After documents have been filed with government authorities
  • After substantial work has been completed (document preparation, filing, follow-ups)
  • Application rejection by government authorities due to reasons beyond our control
  • Delays caused by incomplete or incorrect information provided by you
  • Change of mind after service delivery or substantial work completion
  • Non-cooperation or non-availability from your side causing delays
  • Government processing delays or policy changes

4. Service-Specific Refund Policies

Company Registration Services

Once DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) or DIN (Director Identification Number) application is submitted, service fees are non-refundable. Refunds may be considered only before submission.

GST Registration

Once GST application is filed on the government portal, no refund will be provided. Refund requests before filing will be evaluated based on work completed.

Tax Return Filing (ITR/GST Returns)

Once returns are filed with tax authorities, the service fee is non-refundable. Errors due to incorrect information provided by the client are not eligible for refunds.

Trademark Registration

After trademark application is filed, service fees are non-refundable. Government fees are never refundable. Refund may be considered only before filing and trademark search.

Annual Compliance Services

Once filings commence or deadlines are approaching, no refunds are provided. Early cancellation (before work begins) may qualify for partial refunds.

Consultation Services

Once a consultation session is completed, fees are non-refundable. Cancellations made 24 hours before the scheduled consultation may receive a full refund.

5. Cancellation Policy

How to Cancel

Cancellation Timeline

  • Within 24 hours: Full refund if no work has commenced
  • 24-48 hours: Partial refund (up to 75%) if minimal work done
  • After 48 hours: Evaluated case-by-case based on work completed
  • After filing: No refund or cancellation possible

6. Refund Process

How to Request a Refund

  2. Include your order number, payment transaction ID, and reason for refund
  3. Attach any supporting documents if applicable
  4. Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days

Refund Timeline

  • Refund approval/rejection decision: 3-5 business days
  • Processing time after approval: 7-10 business days
  • Bank credit timeline: 5-7 business days (varies by bank)
  • Total time: Approximately 15-20 business days from request

Refund Method

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the transaction. We do not provide cash refunds or refunds to third-party accounts.

7. Application Rejection by Authorities

If your application is rejected by government authorities, please note:

  • Service fees are non-refundable as our work was completed in good faith
  • Government fees are never refundable regardless of outcome
  • We provide one free resubmission if rejection was due to minor errors
  • We will assist you in understanding the rejection reason and next steps
  • Additional fees may apply for major resubmissions requiring significant rework

8. Order Modifications

If you need to modify your order details after payment:

  • Minor modifications (name corrections, address changes): Usually free before filing
  • Major modifications (service type change, additional services): May incur additional charges
  • Modifications after filing: Subject to government rules and additional fees
  • Contact us immediately to discuss modification options

9. Disputes and Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any payment disputes before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks may result in:

  • Suspension of services until the matter is resolved
  • Additional processing fees
  • Legal action for fraudulent chargebacks

Most issues can be resolved through direct communication. Please give us the opportunity to address your concerns.

10. Exceptions and Special Cases

In exceptional circumstances, we may consider refunds outside this policy at our sole discretion. Such cases include:

  • Extraordinary circumstances beyond anyone's control (natural disasters, pandemics)
  • Significant service delivery failures on our part
  • Legal or regulatory changes making the service impossible to deliver

Each case will be evaluated individually, and our decision will be final.
